Review by hotel critic
I recently enjoyed a two-week ski holiday at Wildwood Lodge, and here's the scoop for anyone contemplating a stay. First off, the layout of our apartment - two double bedrooms with a loft - was practical for our family of six. The kitchen was fully equipped with cookware and utensils, making it a great alternative to pricey dining options in Whistler. On location, it's directly across from a path leading to the Blackcomb lifts, just a quick two-minute walk. Not the most luxurious ski-in-ski-out option, but absolutely functional, especially with a bus stop right outside. One highlight was the public spa, excellent for unwinding post-skiing and mingling. There were aspects that could use improvement, such as the lack of adequate lighting. the absence of air conditioning during our summer visit was notable; it made the heat palpable. Initially, we faced some inconveniences like a non-operational hot tub and internet issues, but nothing too catastrophic. Wildwood offers a solid balance between value and comfort. For travelers prioritizing practicality and functionality over high-end luxury, it proves to be a sound choice in stunning Whistler. Consider it wisely!
